Lincoln Police say a traffic crash near 27th and Fairfield Thursday night lead to the arrest of a drunk driver. Captain Todd Kocian says officers responded to the crash around 9:30 p.m.”Officers contacted 37-year-old Eric Grenemeier, who was slumped over the wheel and appeared to be asleep,” Kocian says.
“Upon contact, officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle and a DUI investigation was initiated.” Kocian says Grenemeier had a blood alcohol content of 427, more than five times the legal limit.
Police also discovered that Grenemeier had two previous arrests, on February 12 and March 6.
