A crash on I-80 near Gretna Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of a Lincoln man. The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Department says 64-year-old Gary Vaughn was westbound near the Highway 370 exit around 1:45 when his Dodge Ram crossed the median and struck an eastbound pickup.
Vaughn died at the scene. The other pickup driver was taken to an Omaha hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The eastbound lanes of I-80 were closed for more than two hours. It’s not yet known why Vaughn crossed the median.
