Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Meadowlark Pharmacy at 520 Prairie View Lane in Hickman around 5:50 Wednesday morning to investigate a burglary.
The front door had been damaged and narcotics were missing. Security video showed a man inside the store with a black trash used to hold the drugs. The burglary happened at around 4:45 a.m. An estimated $900 in damage was done to the door.
Sheriff Terry Wagner says this is likely connected to the break-in at Stockwell Pharmacy at 3811 South 27th Street at 5 a.m. Wednesday. Someone had gained access to the building by breaking a window. An inventory was taken and it was determined nothing was missing.
The investigations continue.
