Nebraska’s leading economic indicator rose in January, according to the most recent report from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Bureau of Business Research. The indicator, designed to predict economic activity six months into the future, increased 0.58%.
Four components of the index, building permits, airline passenger numbers, initial unemployment claims and business expectations, were higher. Two components declined in January.
