Lincoln Police say a 37-year-old man walked into their station at 27th and Holdrege around 7:15 Tuesday night and told officers he believed someone was following him and wanted an officer to escort him home.

“He was informed police don’t do that and was provided with other options,” says Captain Todd Kocian.  Kocian says Kendall Barrow made calls to 911 before eventually leaving the station. At 8:30 p.m. Kocian says Barrow drove to the Hall of Justice where he made the same request to an officer.

Throughout the evening Barrow called 911 several more times and was ultimately arrested around 11:30 p.m. “Barrow was found to be in possession of a .380 caliber handgun and 14 grams of cocaine,” Kocian says.

Barrow was arrested for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, carrying a concealed weapon by a prohibited person, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and obstructing government operations.
