Five people were evacuated after a house in south Lincoln caught fire just before 7:00 Wednesday night.  LFR Public Information Officer MJ Lierman says there was heavy fire coming from the windows when crews arrived at the home at 2801 Coronado Drive.

Lierman says the fire burned into the second floor and through the attic.  Firefighters managed to get it under control in about 15 minutes.  The five adults and two cats were relocated by the Red Cross   LFR says one adult was treated for injuries at the scene.

Lierman says a previously damaged charging device was the cause of the fire.  Damage to the home is estimated at $150,000.
