Lincoln Police are once again reminding residents to not keep valuables in their vehicles. LPD Captain Todd Kocian says over the weekend two handguns were stolen from vehicles in neighborhoods north of 84th and Pioneers Blvd.
“The first occurred near 88th & Touchdown Drive where a 9mm Glock handgun was taken,” Kocian says. “The second occurred near 85th & Tralee Road where a 9mm Sig Sauer
handgun was taken.”
The total value of the stolen guns was nearly $1,700. “In one case, a window had been broken on the vehicle to gain entry and on the other, the vehicle had been inadvertently left unlocked.”
