Lincoln Parks and Recreation officials announced on Friday that registration is now open for spring NFL FLAG Football and youth volleyball. The deadline to register is February 12 and space is limited.
The NFL FLAG Football season has six-games and runs March 18 through May 2 at the Lewis ballfields at 24th and “J” streets. The league plays a five-on-five coed format with no blocking. Leagues are divided into kindergarten through eighth grades divisions. Players are assigned to teams via coach request, friend request, and geographic area.
Regular registration is $90 for the first child and $5 discount is offered for each additional child in the same family until February 5. Youth volleyball league also has a six-game season and runs mid-March to early May at Belmont Recreation Center and Calvert Recreation Center.
Games are played on Saturday mornings with a four-on-four format. The league offers Kindergarten through fifth-grade age divisions. Eight-person teams are assigned a volunteer coach and organized via friend requests and geographic areas. Registration is $50 for the first child, with a $5 discount for each additional child in the same family.
