A man is in critical condition after an assault around 5 a.m. Sunday. Lincoln Police were called to the parking lot of the Super Saver grocery store at 27th and Cornhusker. Officers found a mant unresponsive with head injuries.
The officer started first aid and CPR until Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived and took over and took him to a hospital.
Witness told officers that the man had been assaulted by several people who then fled the area.
