Lincoln Police were called to a home near 28th and ‘S’ Street just before midnight on Saturday to investigate a burglary. Captain Todd Kocian says a 40-year-old man told officers sometime earlier in the evening someone entered his basement through a side door.
They took seven firearms, including two handguns, four rifles and one shotgun along with boxes of ammunition.” Kocian says an unknown amount of cash was also taken.
The value of the guns is estimated at $19,000. Kocian says there was no damage to the house.
