During Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting, LPS superintendent Dr. Paul Gausman said there will be some enrollment changes next year at the district’s newest high school. “Standing Bear High School will be open to students in grades 9-11 in the fall of 2024. We will also expand athletic opportunities to include varsity competitions in all sports.”
Gausman says freshmen, sophomores and juniors who do not currently attend Standing Bear will need to fill out the high school choice form as soon as possible to help with planning courses and the staffing next year.
.Standing Bear opened its doors this past August to students in grades 9 and 10 and there have been limited varsity sports opportunities.
