There is no slowdown in the theft of catalytic converters.
Lincoln Police report that five were cut off of Chevy Colorado pickups belonging to Underground Utility Location and Damage Prevention parked at 300 North 66th Street between September 8th and 21st.
Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office reports four were taken within the last week. Between September 19th and the 21st, two were taken from vehicles parked on a transport truck parked at 119th and Highway 6. The thieves also too the ramps from the truck used to load vehicles. The estimated loss is $1,900.
Between September 20th and 21st, a converter was cut from a Hyundai Tucson parked in Waverly.
Between September 18th and 19th, one was cut off a Hyundai Santa Fe that was in a church parking lot in the 4700 block of Folsom.
