On Sunday, September 18th at 11 a.m., Lincoln Police were called to a business in the area of 48th and Old Cheney. Police spoke with a 56 year old man who reported he was loading items into his pickup when he noticed his .45 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun was missing. It had been in a case on the passenger floorboard. The case was still in the vehicle.
Officers processed the scene for evidence, canvassed the area, and are requesting video from neighboring businesses. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
