A Lincoln woman ended up in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle near 48th and Baldwin around 6:30 Sunday night. “The preliminary investigation indicates a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, driven by an 18-year-old Lincoln man, was going north on 48th Street from Baldwin when it hit a pedestrian in the street, not in a marked crosswalk,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
She says the man had looked down at his radio just before the collision. “The 47-year-old woman was taken to a hospital by ambulance with a non-life threatening injury to her head. Thomas says no citations were issued.
