Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews found smoke and flames coming from the front of a house near 51st and Meredith just after 10:00 Thursday night. Battalion Chief Aaron Pospisil tells KLIN News they were able to get the fire put out quickly.
“Nobody was home at the time so it was able to grow in intensity. The cause was determined to be electrical.” Pospisil says damage to the home is estimated at $150,000. No firefighters were injured.
Pospisil says the resident won’t be able to live there for quite some time.
