Lincoln Police were called to the 2900 block of Starr Street on September 15th at 9 p.m. to investigate a weapons violation in progress.

LPD officers spoke with a woman who said her ex-boyfriend, 57 year old Ronald Oliver, had been to her home and caused a disturbance. A neighbor heard the yelling and stepped between the two to mediate the argument. The man said Oliver had pushed him as he tried to walk toward the man. Oliver then picked up his bicycle and swung it at the man, hitting him with the tires. Oliver then pulled out a pocket knife and lunged at the man several times. Both victims said Oliver threatened to shoot the woman and threw rocks at her home.

As officers were speaking with the victims, Oliver rode his bike back to the residence. Officers told him to stop but he fled. Oliver was found in the 1300 block of N 27th Street and was taken into custody.

Oliver was booked for terroristic threats, domestic assault, 3rd degree assault and failure to obey a lawful order.
