The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office released new details Tuesday morning in the search for 35-year-old Tyler Goodrich. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says a search warrant was served on Monday at Goodrich’s home near 12th and Burnham Streets.
“I will not be going into the evidence that was collected during the search warrant.” He says prior to the warrant being served deputies conducted several searches on the property. Goodrich was last seen at his house around 7:45 Friday night following an argument with his husband. He was reported missing around 9:30 Saturday morning, but there has been no trace of him since.
Houchin also revealed that as of Monday morning Goodrich’s husband, Marshall Vogel, and his family are no longer cooperating with the sheriff’s office on this investigation. He says Vogel, his children and mother came to the Hall of Justice and told investigators that neither he or his children would be talking to investigators anymore and that they were obtaining an attorney.
“This action made investigators obtain a search warrant for evidence at the residence. Prior to this, Mr. Vogel had been cooperative with law enforcement.” Houchin says LSO deputies, Lincoln Police and Department of Corrections officers conducted a search in the area around Goodrich’s home on Tuesday. “That’s the last place we know he and his phone were at.”
