Lancaster County Inmate Died Monday

By Mark Vail Sep 15, 2021 | 10:55 AM

An inmate from Lancaster County Department of Corrections died at a hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, on September 13, 2021.

Nuha Farid, age 51, had been in custody since October 26, 2020. He had been convicted and was awaiting sentencing for: robbery, possession of a firearm to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

While the cause of death has yet to be determined, Mr. Farid was being treated for a serious medical condition. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of Lancaster County Department of Corrections, a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
