The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crash that happened at 134th and Adams Thursday afternoon. LSO Captain John Vik says it happened at 134th and Adams around 12:40 P.M. when a southbound SUV failed to yield and pulled into the intersection. The SUV was then broadsided by an eastbound box truck.
“The truck driver tried to avoid the collision, but was unable to and struck the passenger side of the black SUV.” Vik says the SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was not hurt.
Vik says investigators are working to determine if speed, drugs, or alcohol were factors in the crash. He says they have not yet determined if seatbelts were used.
