As a part of continuing work in the University Place neighborhood, a portion of Madison Avenue will be closed off for a couple weeks starting next week.
Beginning Monday, October 30, Madison Avenue between North 47th and North 48th streets will close for road work. This will mainly restrict southside access to the Kwik Shop on the east-corner and Lee’s Auto Sales on the west-corner of Madison Avenue.
This project is directly adjacent to Northeast Lincoln Boutique Beauty Girl, which will close doors Saturday.
The recommended detour is Adams Street to North 56th Street to Leighton Avenue. This work is scheduled to be completed by mid-November.
