Help End Domestic Violence by Shopping at Local Businesses Next Week

A cadre of Lincoln businesses are teaming up to support the fight against family violence in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Beginning this weekend, 18 local retailers will donate 2% of sales proceeds to the Lincoln non-profit Voices of Hope, which provides 24/7 crisis services to victims of domestic violence and abuse.

The 29th Annual “Shop to Stop Family Violence” event will run from Saturday, October 21st, through Friday, October 27th.

The local businesses participating, “were really excited to help out and make a difference in our community,’ Voices of Hope Resource Development Coordinator, Yaquelin Cisneros, told KLIN News.
