Lincoln Police were called to an area hospital on Wednesday, September 8th just before 10 a.m. after receiving a call a man with a gunshot wound arrived for treatment.
Police spoke with 43 year old Jeffrey Adair and learned he accidentally shot himself in the hand while handling a gun.
Adair is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm. Adair was cited and released for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person due to ongoing medical procedures.
