LSO Deputies Arrest Bellevue Man Accused Of Threatening His Wife

By Tom Stanton Oct 16, 2023 | 3:05 PM

A Bellevue man is accused of making threats against his wife as she was fleeing with their three kids following a domestic argument. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says they stopped the woman after she ran a stop sign at 68th and Roca Road Friday night.

Houchin says the woman was crying and told deputies she and her husband, 38-year-old Kevin Youngling,  had been having problems during the day and she was heading to her parents house in southeast Nebraska with their three kids.

“He begins sending her threatening text messages, even to the point of killing her,” Houchin says.  He also was sending her pictures of his location as he was also driving to her parents house.”   Deputies intercepted Youngling at 120th and Nebraska Parkway and Houchin says he was extremely intoxicated.

During a search of the vehicle deputies found a Glock 9mm handgun and a shotgun.  “We’re very happy that the deputies were out doing their jobs and investigating further.  Probably prevented something very horrible from happening that night,” Houchin says.

Youngling was arrested on several charges, including DWI, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and domestic assault.
