Congratulations to Explorers Post #575 who are sponsored by the Lincoln Police Department. They competed for the first time this Labor Day Weekend in an event hosted by the Topeka Police Department. A total of 11 teams were involved from Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Missouri.
Each event tested a variety of police related skills from de-escalation to evidence processing. Lincoln Police Explorers took home two trophies and were just shy of two others. They placed third pace in the Physical Agility Course that included a sprint, a tire flip, obstacles and handcuffing a suspect. Individually, Explorer Trevor had the 6th fastest time overall. Lincoln took home 2nd place spots in Crime Scene Investigation that included evidence processing and fingerprinting. Lincoln missed 3rd place by one point in Active Shooter and two points away in Serving a Search Warrant event.
