Just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8th, Lincoln Police were called to a home at 61st and Elkcrest Circle on a burglary in progress.
A man and a woman reported they heard noises in the basement. Officers searched the home and found 41 year old Darryl Claypool in a storage room. Claypool had gone through containers and ate food while in the home.
The residents indicated that entry was gained though an unlocked sliding glass door. Officers also found the fence in the back yard ha been damaged.
Claypool was booked for burglary. Damage to the fence is estimated at $200.
