A frightening ordeal for a 37 year old woman who was out for a run near SW 56th and Old Cheney Friday morning.  Lancaster County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says the woman was running near a subdivision around 8:15 when she noticed a car was following her at a slow speed.

Houchin says the woman thought the man was lost and went to his car to try and talk to him.  He says the man did not say anything and she described him staring off into space. Houchin says the woman resumed her run and the car began following her again.

“She ran up to one of the houses and acted like it was her house,” Houchin says.  The car drove away and the woman attempted to finish her run.  The car returned again and the frightened woman ran into a wooded area to call 911.

Deputies arrived and made contact with 49-year-old Son Prack.  Houchin says Prack told them he was low on gas and was trying to get to Pioneers Park.  He says Prack drove off, but eventually stopped.  he was arrested for stalking, obstructing a peace officer and other charges.
