Lincoln Police have released more details in a Sunday morning shooting that left a man dead and another in custody. Assistant Police Chief Brian Jackson says 23 year old Lendell Harris and 28 year old Alonzo Jones got into a fight at the Tanglewood Apartments near 44th and R.
“During the confrontation Harris produced a firearm and shot Jones,” Jackson says. Jones died at the scene. Jackson says Harris drove himself to the Lancaster County Jail and turned himself in shortly after the incident. He says a gun believed to be the murder weapon was found inside the vehicle Harris was driving.
