A Lincoln woman has passed away after a two-vehicle collision in Palmyra.
At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) were notified of the incident at the intersection of Highway 2 and Road I.
Based on preliminary findings, a Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound on Road I and entered the intersection when an eastbound Honda Accord, traveling on Highway 2, collided with the Hyundai Sonata on its driver’s side.
The driver of the Hyundai was identified as 62-year-old Tania Greene of Lincoln. She was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Honda Accord sustained injuries and was transported to Bryan Medical Center West Campus. His injuries are reported as non-life-threatening.
NSP is conducting a crash reconstruction to understand the surrounding circumstances. The investigation is ongoing.
