A 20 year old man is accused of assaulting two Lincoln Police officers late Thursday night. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says officers were called to the Casey’s near SW 6th and West A Streets for an unconscious man in a vehicle.
Arriving officers believed that Thiep Nuot was under the influence of alcohol and attempted to take him into custody after a roadside sobriety test. “Nuot resisted these attempts by taking one of the officers to the ground with a body lock and biting him on the wrist,” Vollmer says.
Nuot was then transported to the Lancaster County Jail where Vollmer says he knocked a corrections officer to the floor and bit another LPD officer on the hand. Nuot was booked for assault on an officer, resisting arrest, DUI and criminal mischief.
