A Lincoln teenager is accused of pulling a gun on a construction worker outside the Walgreens near 27th and Vine last Friday. Captain Todd Kocian says the suspect stole $6 worth of food items and left the store around 1:45 p.m.

An employee alerted the construction worker who tried to convince the teen and two females with him to return the items to the store.  “The witness said one of the females pulled a small handgun from her pocket and initially pointed it at him before giving it to the male,” Kocian says.

He says 18-year-old Taeshaun Moreira of Lincoln then pointed the handgun at the construction worker and ordered him to back up.  All three then fled the area.  On Tuesday afternoon Moreira was taken into custody near 21st & ‘J’ Street.  Officers recovered a .22 caliber handgun.

Moreira was arrested for robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony and terroristic threats.
