By Tom Stanton Sep 20, 2023 | 11:58 AM

A 53-year-old man was arrested after Lincoln Police say he threatened a 73-year-old man with a knife outside the U-Stop near 10th and Lincoln Mall Monday morning. Captain Todd Kocian says when officers arrived they saw Demian Robbins yelling at the victim and a small pocket knife lying on the ground.

“The victim reported that he exited the store and Robbins approached him and punched him in the face,” Kocian says.  “He backed away, pulled out a knife to defend himself but dropped the knife after Robbins grabbed it.”

The victim says Robbins picked up the knife and threatened him with it.  Robbins was arrested for terroristic threats, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

Robbins sustained a small cut to his right hand.
