KLIN’s Chris Lofgreen reports a 2-vehicle crash just before 10 last night at 27th and South Street sent at least one person to the hospital.
Lofgreen says a witnesses reported the driver of a gray sedan had just stolen a case of beer from convenience store, ran out, got in the car and drove out to go west on South Street and ran a red light at 27th and got hit by a northbound vehicle.
LPD confirmed the witness report and the investigation continues.
