A Lincoln man who suffered a head injury after being assaulted on August 27th has died. Lincoln Police say 55 year old James Baylor was punched by a man who got out of a vehicle near 13th and P Street. Baylor fell and hit his head on the sidewalk.
22 year old Angel Rodriguez Alvis was one of three people who got out of the vehicle during the incident. He was eventually arrested and charged with first degree assault. Captain Todd Kocian tells KLIN news an autopsy is being conducted on Wednesday.
Investigators will be meeting with the family and county prosecutor concerning amended charges.
