Lincoln Police were called to investigate a case of vandalism at a home construction site near 97th and Andermatt Drive just before noon on Tuesday.   Sergeant Chris Vollmer says officers spoke with the site contractor.

“The contractor identified a bathtub and copper piping damaged sometime over the weekend. Total estimated damage is $6,500.” The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.

“There are a number of areas of town that are under construction, either residential or commercial,” Vollmer says.  “We encourage people that if you see something weird, especially during the overnight hours or weekend hours to please give us a call.
