$5,000 Worth Of Meth Found In Lincoln Motel Room

Lincoln Police arrested a man and a woman Wednesday night after they found drugs inside the motel room they were staying in. Investigators with the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force were following up on an ongoing drug investigation.

They were looking for 28-year-old Thomas Baio and arrested him on two felony narcotics warrants.  Investigators found him in the parking lot of the Town House Extended Stay Hotel at 17th and M Street and he was taken into custody without incident.

Inside the room the found 33-year-old Samantha Kline and 39-year-old Jessica Hicks.  Investigators found 60.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine with a street value of more than $5,000 in several individual bags along with drug paraphernalia.

Inside a purse belonging to Hicks, investigators located 1.1 grams of suspected methamphetamine separated in three different bags and other items of drug paraphernalia.  Baio was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver as well as the two outstanding warrants.

Kline was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver.  Hicks was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
