Two people have been arrested for robbing a woman outside a U-Stop near NW 12 and West Adams around 5:30 Monday evening. LPD Captain Todd Kocian tells KLIN News the 23-year-old victim told officers she was approached by a woman who said she was selling a pair of shoes.
“The two went behind the building where a male produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim while demanding money. The victim turned over $400 and both suspects left the scene in a blue vehicle.”
Kocian says around 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday located 22-year-old Elijah Taylor and 22-year-old Deondra Lake at a home near 16th and Fletcher Street. Both were taken into custody without incident. Lake was booked into the Lancaster County Jail for robbery. Taylor was booked for robbery, terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Kocian says the victim was not hurt.
