The scorching heat is keeping Lincoln residents looking for ways to stay cool. The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department announced Monday that the Trago Park Sprayground at 22nd and “U” will operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
The Trago Park Sprayground season will come to an end at 7 p.m. on September 4. The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for Lincoln until 10 p.m. Wednesday. Heat index values up to 111 degrees are expected. Temperatures are predicted to be near or higher than 100 degrees each day.
