LFR crews were called to a car fire near 52nd and Sumner around 6:00 Sunday night. The arriving crews found the car engulfed in flames in the driveway. Public Information Officer MJ Lierman says the car was parked close to the house and the heat from the flames melted the siding.
She says no one was hurt. The car was destroyed and the house sustained about $12,000 in damage.
It’s not known how the car caught fire.
