A 16 and 18 year old were apprehended after Lincoln Police say they were involved in a brief pursuit just after midnight. Captain Max Hubka says officers were called to the area of 25th and ‘W’ on a report of a vehicle being stolen.
He says arriving officers spotted the vehicle in the area and the vehicle took off. “The pursuit was pretty short-lived as the suspect vehicle lost control and collided with a parked vehicle near 26th and Randolph.”
Hubka says the two teens got out and fled on foot. Both suspects were eventually caught. The 16-year old driver was taken to the Youth Detention Center and the 18-year old passenger was booked into the Lancaster County Jail.
LPD continues to investigate the incident.
