Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies were called just after 8 a.m. to investigate a felony assault on Wednesday, August 18th. Deputies were sent to the 1200 block of Saltillo Road to speak to the victim.
The incident started as road rage near South 14th and Saltillo. 27 year Old Ronald Banse Jr of Lincoln and the victim were driving separate vehicles. Both pulled in to a gas station. The victim reported that Banse got out of his vehicle and punched the victim in the face while sitting in his vehicle. The victim got out of the vehicle to take photos or video of Banse to report it to law enforcement. Banse started to drive away and hit and drove over the victim’s leg. The victim didn’t require emergency medial attention at the scene but the extent of injuries are not known.
Banse was jailed for second degree assault, a class II felony.
