Lincoln Police are investigating a burglary that happened overnight Tuesday in the 1900 block of S 28th Street. The owner of a vehicle called police around 8 Wednesday morning to report that he had put his unloaded rifle in the trunk of his vehicle overnight.
The next morning he found items inside his vehicle had been moved around and his Smith and Wesson AR 14 MP rifle and case were missing. The man told police he had locked the vehicle the night before but there were no signs of forced entry.
