Another arrest has been made in the shooting of two teenagers outside the Edgewood Theater at 5220 S 56th Street on August 2nd. A 19 year old was found sitting in a black Mercedes with a gunshot wound to his face. An 18 year old was found laying in the parking lot and had been shot in the leg and hip. Both remain hospitalized in critical condition.
LPD investigators analyzed digital and forensic evidence and learned a 17 year old male had arranged to meet with the victims at the theater parking lot that day. That 17 year old was identified by witnesses as the person how shot at least one of the victims.
The 17 year old was arrested on Wednesday, August 18th at 57th and Baldwin. He was taken to the Youth Attention Center and booked for first degree assault and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
