There was cause for concern when Lincoln firefighters responded to a house fire near 9th and H around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. “We were dispatched to a report of smoke and flames coming from the house and numerous people potentially being trapped inside,” says Battalion Chief Mark Majors.
Majors says crews did find smoke coming from the house, but no flames and people were evacuating the two story home. “Everyone did make it out.” The cause of the fire is under investigation. Three people lived in the house.
