Lincoln Police are investigating a rash of overdose cases involving the use of cocaine within the last four days. Five people overdosed Sunday. An 18 year old man died from the overdose at 27th and P Street. There were four more overdose cases Monday. Narcan was given to the victims and all were connected to the use of cocaine.
One person who overdosed told officers the cocaine was purchased at a home at 17th and Knox. 33 year old Brandon Davis was booked on a number of drug charges. Police warn that drugs bought at the location should not be used as it could be laced with other deadly drugs.
