Lincoln Police say no one was hurt after a gun was accidentally fired inside an apartment near 38th and Pine Lake Road around 6:30 Monday morning. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says 29 year old Nathan Walter says he inadvertently fired his Glock 9 mm handgun into the ceiling.
Officers spoke with Walter and his upstairs neighbors, who were not harmed. Vollmer says the bullet went through Walter’s ceiling and through the floor of his neighbor. The 9mm round was removed from their hallway ceiling.
Walter was cited and released for discharging a firearm within the city. The gun and ammunition were collected as evidence.
