A frightening ordeal for an 18 year old man who called police around 1 a.m. Saturday while at 25th and O Street. The victim told police than a man in a gray Ford Mustang had made threatening comments and pointed a handgun at him. Several witnesses provided similar accounts of what happened. The victim gave police a description and they found the vehicle in the EZ Go parking lot.
As officers approached, the man tried to drive off but followed directions to stop. 21 year old Jeremy Matthews was taken into custody without further incident.
A realistic looking handgun style BB gun was on the driver’s floorboard. Officers also found 11 Adderall pills, a scheduled II controlled substance on him without a prescription. Matthews was booked for making terroristic threats and possession of a controlled substance.
