An Omaha man was arrested after Lincoln Police say the stolen vehicle he was driving slammed into an apartment building near 25th and Vine Saturday afternoon. “Witnesses described the man jumping from the vehicle as it was traveling northbound on 25th Street at approximately 45 miles per hour,” says LPD Investigator Scott Parker.
Parker says 21-years-of-age Dearies Bogan was found in the area with minor injuries. A witness positively identified Bogan as the person who jumped from the vehicle. Bogan was taken to jail and booked for theft by receiving stolen property.
The 2002 Chevy Suburban was stolen from the Petro Mart at 23rd and R Street after the keys were left in the ignition.
