Lincoln Police patrolling around 2 Wednesday morning near 11th and Cornhusker spotted 2002 Dodge Dakota swerving and driving around 20 mph. An officer tried to stop the vehicle but it kept on going. It eventually stopped at 73rd and Platte Street when the driver got out and ran into a corn field.
Police Service Dog Jet was used to locate 24 year old Allyana Hamilton who was in the field hiding. Hamilton was taken into custody and officers found brass knuckles and a knife in her waistband along with two baggies with 3.9 grams of meth. Hamilton is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing weapons. Hamilton was also found to have an outstanding felony warrant for possession of a deadly weapon.
Hamilton was booked for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.
