Lincoln Police arrested a man they say tried to rob another man inside the U-Stop near 21st and K Street just before 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.  When officers arrived they saw a man matching the description provided by the caller.  The man was taken into custody without incident.

Officers contacted the 28-year-old victim who reported that he was working at McDonalds and came into the U-Stop to withdraw money from the ATM when the man approached him.  The man pulled out a large machete, pushed it against him, and demanded his money.

The victim was able to get away from the man and police were called.  Officers identified the man taken into custody as 32-year-old Clevone Furby.  Officers found a machete with a 10 ¼ inch blade in a sheath, 0.9 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on his person.

Furby was arrested for Robbery, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance.
