Several downtown streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon, Sunday, July 9 for The Lincoln Mile 2023. Business access will be maintained via sidewalks. The closures are as follows:
- 12th Street from “Q” to “R” streets
- “R” Street from 12th to 16th streets
- “Q” Street from 12th to 13th streets
The Lincoln Mile is split up into multiple heats that run every 15 minutes, beginning at 8:00am. Oldest age group goes first, with the Elite Heats running when all other heats are finished. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and are welcome to stay late and then cheer on other runners. The Lincoln Mile is the designated Road Runners Club of America State Championship Race for the 1 Mile.
Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around the run zone.
